Schumpeter, disruption, break things, unicorns eating the world. This article by David Heinemeier Hansson, creator of Ruby on Rails and founder of Basecamp, on starting up is the opposite:<\/p>\n

“Part of the problem seems to be that nobody these days is content to merely put their dent in the universe. No, they have to fucking own<\/strong> the universe. It\u2019s not enough to be in the market, they have to dominate<\/strong> it. It\u2019s not enough to serve customers, they have to capture<\/strong> them.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Researchers at the Aalto University in Finland have looked at keyboard typing strategies. Personally, I find the strategies and the differences in finger use they engender but also how the researchers chose to visualise these using ‘maps’ and hand diagrams fascinating:<\/p>\n
