We are writing to ask you to login into your account at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/openstreetmap.org\/user\/terms\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/openstreetmap.org\/user\/terms<\/a>\u00a0and accept a new set of contributor terms.<\/p>\n<p>Why are we asking this?<br \/>\nWe need to ask you to explicitly grant permission for us to continue using your existing contributions under the upgraded license and terms.<\/p>\n<p>The new OpenStreetMap data license and contributor terms is a big improvement for the OpenStreetMap project and will encourage greater use of our data. When a somebody uses OSM data in the production of a map or map book, it is unclear to what the OSM CC-BY license extends to: the layer in the map, the map as a whole, the map book?<\/p>\n<p>In any case, OSM has an informative\u00a0wiki page <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osmfoundation.org\/wiki\/License\/We_Are_Changing_The_License\">on the change<\/a>\u00a0and one on the new <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openstreetmap.org\/wiki\/Open_Database_License\">Open Database License<\/a> (ODbL). More information on ODbL can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opendatacommons.org\/licenses\/odbl\/\">Open Data Commons<\/a>.
